When I was a kid, my dream job was a scientific advisor for science fiction movies. Well, that didn't work out, but I became a scientist instead.

I'm currently located in Basel (Switzerland), where I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research. I hold a master's degree in Biotechnology from Jagiellonian University (Poland) and a PhD in Molecular Biology from NOVA University Lisbon / Instituto Gulbenkian Ciência (Portugal). In addition to formal education, I've been learning some coding and data analysis in my spare time. My other hobbies include reading fantasy literature, listening to music, knitting, and, most recently, learning to play piano.
